USICO is a Critical Technology (CT) programme funded by the European Community, to improve the safety of civil UAVs and enable their integration within civilian airspace.

    • Recommendations for UAV system airworthiness certification procedures and standards
    • Recommendations for UAV operations regulations
    • Technology for see and avoid
    • suggestions for research into image recognition & sensors and adapted ADS-B technology
    • Flight simulation of UAV ATC/ATM process

    • - Industries (6): Airobotics, EADS, FHS, IAI, Marconi, Swedish Space Corp.

    - Institutes (3): DLR, NLR, ONERA

    - Universities (1): Naples
