CAPECON is a Critical Technology (CT) programme funded by The European Community, to investigate new directions for future civil UAV development, applications, technologies, configurations and economic viability.

  • Goal : Definition of Civil UAV Applications and Configurations.

 

  • Scope of Work :
    • Identification and definition of potential civil UAV applications.
    • Definition of seven configurations for these applications (3 HALE, 2 MALE & 2 rotary).
    • Meeting safety criteria in ATC/ATM environment, whilst maintaining competitive economic advantage, compared to alternative airborne (manned), spaceborne (satellites) and ground based systems.
    • Development of Cost Models.
    • Preparation of : - Exploitation and Future Activities Plan (framework 6)
